Vehicle Safety Head Graphic Snowmobiles & ATVs : Signs of a Safe Time

Safe Snowmobiling Means...

Snowmobiling is a fun and exciting pastime. However, as with all motor vehicles, rules and regulations are in place to ensure not only rider safety, but also the safety of passengers and the public.  The following snowmobile safety icons were created to help raise awareness of proper practices, risks and safety-related issues associated with the sport of snowmobiling.

  1. Registration and insurance
  2. Responsible attitudes and actions, including why not to drink and ride
  3. Riding capabilities, including operating at safe and appropriate speeds for the terrain
  4. Riding areas, respecting the land
  5. Trespassing rules
  6. Wearing the right gear, including helmet safety

Snowmobile safety is about encouraging sledders, both novice and expert, to put safety into action
