Driver Safety Head Graphic Enforcement

Enforcement agencies across Alberta are charged with the responsibility of keeping our roadways and highways safe to travel in the name of public safety.

From municipal police agencies to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Alberta Transportation, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, members from across Alberta enforce all the rules of the road.

You might see enforcement members conducting routine Checkstop programs looking for impaired drivers, or pulling over big rigs for inspection to make sure they are safe for travel on the road. Speed enforcement is conducted throughout the province using a variety of technologies.

Remember, whenever you see members of Alberta's enforcement agencies out on the road, they aren't there to hinder your travel. They are there to ensure your trip - long or short - is a safe one.
