Communications about traffic safety is very complex as there are multiple behaviours and contributing factors that come into play.

A number of priority topics remain at the core of the communications strategy: occupant restraints, impaired driving, speed and intersection safety. Other topics such as driver distractions, young drivers, commercial vehicle safety, motorcycle safety, school bus safety, pedestrian safety and bicycle safety are also targeted.

A variety of tactics are used to address these topics in order to reach Albertans of various ages in all areas of the province.
