Alberta Traffic Safety Foundation

The Alberta Traffic Safety Foundation (ATSF) strives to improve the quality of life in Alberta through preventative, collaborative, and focused traffic safety initiatives.

The purpose of the foundation is to encourage community groups and organizations to develop and implement innovative traffic safety initiatives where they work best­at the community level. The ATSF provides funding specifically for small community traffic safety and traffic injury prevention projects. The ATSF aims to help build community capacity through the nature and scope of the projects that are funded.

ATSF Objectives:

1. To provide funding for community based traffic safety and traffic injury prevention projects
2. To encourage community capacity building through the nature and scope of funded projects
3. To fund projects that can not secure funding through other avenues to a maximum of $10,000 with the expectation of support both in-kind and financial from the community and from other sources
